Dress: WAYF / Shoes: vintage / Choker: Brandy Melville

Went out during a 30 second break in the rain to shoot this outfit, and alas, it started pouringgggg rain literally the second I was outside. So this was the only photo I could get before it got super dark from rain clouds again ?

BUT, December is here and you know what THAT means… it’s time to get FESTIVE! Holiday parties, treats, and… well… mostly treats.? December is one of my favourite months of the year. I love how the city lights up with little twinkly lights everywhere and it is all cozy. There is a potential chance of snow, which is always hilarious in Vancouver because the entire city loses it’s shit. Nobody can drive, schools close, and the national guard is brought in (this actually happened one time in Ottawa and I doubt the nation will ever forget it hahah.) Absolute mayhem. It’s great.

Since December is upon us, it is officially holiday dress season! The other day I happened upon this gorgeous wrap dress at Nordstrom. Wrap dresses are a favourite of mine, because they are super flattering and bring out them currrvvessss. All about it. Only had a few of these left when I went in, so tried to find it online for you guys but it’s not on their website 🙁

Today I am prepping for a weekend of skiing up in the mountains! So excited I can hardly contain myself ? And with that, happy Friday everybody!

Talk soon.

Jacket: Bernardo / Shoes: Stuart Weitzman / Dress: Aritzia

What have I been up to lately? Straight hermiting. All I want to do these days is stay cozied up inside and watch Gilmore Girls. Anyone else watching?? TOTALLY ADDICTED. I have set a personal challenge (aim high, friends) to crush through all 7 seasons before the new episodes launch in the end of November. This started 3 weeks ago and I have successfully binged my way through the first 5 seasons. Not sure if I am ashamed, impressed, or just overall shocked by myself. Honestly I rarely watch tv, if ever, but Gilmore Girls has me RIPPING through episodes. It’s like a sickness, some sort of Stars Hollow induced disease. The only cure? FINISH THEM. Every last episode. Then I can be done and never have to watch again. Oh and by the way, I am like 16 years late on the whole Gilmore Girls thing. I am brutally aware that everyone else watched this show at a normal pace in the early 2000s, but alas, I have only discovered it now. Better late than never?

Managed to rip myself away from Netflix for long enough to hit up brunch in my gorrrrgeous new leather jacket from Bernardo! Leather jackets are the perfect piece for fall. Just enough warmth, and great for layering. If it is possible to feel actual love a clothing item, oh baby do I feel it for this coat.

Another thing I managed to do once I shut down Gilmore Girls for a few hours? THE SEPHORA VIB SALE. Yes ladies, that darling little 20% off sale they have where I basically lose my marbles and buy all the makeup. Any of you partake this weekend? It was a good haul this year. My face = happy happy. Wallet? Not so happy. 😛

Okay so enough from me for one day. I seriously need to finish this series so I can get my life back. It has taken over. This is a phase… I swear………. Someone send food.

Simple look for brunch <3

This look is perfect for rolling out of bed and heading straight to brunch. Comfortable, easy, and chic. Shot these photos last weekend in LA while I was basking in the sun like a sea-lion on a hot day (<– seriously wish I was kidding haha.) Literally every moment I could I would stand there with my face pointed towards the sun (hello, wrinkles!! bad.) and just take in the warmth. Tbh it was kind of alarmingly hot for end of October. The temperature felt closer to something of July, and not “fall.” Global warming is a thing friends. #scary

Anyways, what do you think of this look? Brunch-chic, yes?

Fall is such a short time period here in British Columbia, but when the leaves start changing and turn all yellow, orange, and red I just can’t get enough. Legit walked around all weekend saying “look look! It’s so beauuuuutiful.” Enjoying this gorgeous weather while it lasts! Because soon, it will be just rain, rain, and more rain. Bleh.

Outfit is all from Free People, I was feeling like being super comfy this weekend so an oversized knit was definitely my top choice. Shoes I got from Vans, and I am totally feeling the sneakers vibe these days! Casual but cute, love it.

Andddddd I’m back with the black-on-black. Except this time I went crazy and added a splash of red with this little neck tie (just wild.) Which for the record — I am obsessed with these days. I have been wearing neck ties basically every day, and am beginning to think I have some sort of problem. They just make every outfit look so damn cute! Cant help myself.?

Other things I am all about this fall? Oversized coats and sweaters. We are talking WAY oversized here. So you can expect to see a lot more of that too.

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you guys have a good day 🙂

Skinny Belle is officially two years old!!

Time literally flies. How could this be? I started blogging an entire TWO YEARS AGO? Actual insanity. I honestly can’t believe that much time has passed. Skinny Belle started as a project to share some things I love with the world, and now has turned in to so much more. I have made countless ‘internet friends’ (which sounds weird but are legit the best things ever lol) and built relationships with some truly fantastic companies. So many great opportunities have come through my little corner of the internet, and I am forever thankful for that.

So thank you to YOU, my beautiful wonderful magical fairy-princess-readers (because everybody deserves to feel like a magical-fairy-princess) for letting me do what I love. Create, shoot, share, repeat. Skinny Belle makes me more happy than words can describe. To celebrate the last two years of awesomeness, I have pulled together a collection of memories from the Skinny Belle archives.

Shoes: Vans / Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs / Skirt + Shirt: Aritzia

Pulling on a fresh pair of white kicks… is there anything like it? ?

My friends at Union Jack Boots and I have teamed up to bring you the dopest new shoes from Vans this fall. My pick? The “Old-Skool” style that is white on white. It’s a classic look and pairs well with pretty much everything — always a bonus in my books.

Usually in the fall/winter time I start wearing all-black-everything, but this year I am going to try and keep my wardrobe a bit lighter for the season. TRYING NEW THINGS, look at me go. ? And I have to say, fall has been GORGEOUS so far in Vancouver. The leaves have turned, there is that beautiful crisp feel to the air that lets you know winter is coming. It is unreal right now and I can’t get enough. Even the other day when it was rainy, I actually liked it (so suspect haha.) What can I say, I am falling for fall. ?

If you haven’t been to Union Jack Boots’ site, highly recommend you check it out.

So now tell me… what do you think of this look? Comment below!

Dress: Zara / Shoes: Stuart Weitzman

Okay we need to start by talking about my addiction to these shoes. IT HAS GOT TO STOP. I LITERALLY WEAR THEM WITH EVERYTHING.

At home in pjs? I wear these shoes. At the gym? I wear these shoes.

K not really, but you get what I am trying to say. They are freakin’ beautiful and they match perfectly with basically every outfit. Could literally wear these with a giant hoodie and they would still look dope. Oh wait, Kylie Jenner is already doing that. ?

Anywayyyyyssss. These are gorgeous specimens and chances are I am not going to stop wearing them with everything. Because I am in love with them. Yes, love. Do you see that love-struck look on my face in the last photo here? Case and point.

Okay so on to the dress, this one is from Zara. It makes me feel like a western-cowgirl-fairy-princess which is PRECISELY how I want to be feeling 100% of the time. So that would be a win.

Thoughts? Comment below chikas!

This jumper is out of control cute. Was one of the funnest things that I’ve worn in a really long time haha. If it isn’t already obvious I loveeee to rock a good jumper, but the floral pattern on this one was just to-die-for. Zara just got these in and they are only $70 so I would get on that and pick one up quick if I were you. ?

ALSO. Friends who live in Vancouver… where did summer go? Why is this happening? Monday morning this week it just turned full on rainy/gross/dark/cold fall. I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS. Girl was not ready for rainy season yet, and this sudden change in temperature is coming as a bit of a slap in the face if you ask me. Yes, the rainy season does bring snow on the mountains (which is THE BEST thing ever… because skiing ?) but I still wasn’t ready. Looks like I am going to have to take a trip south soon. ?

Anywho, enough complaining. IT’S FRIDAY PEOPLE! And we have a gorgeous long weekend ahead of us!!!

What are you going to be doing this weekend? Comment below!!

How gorgeous is this spot?! Shot these photos at a super cute little heritage building in Osoyoos this past weekend. For those of you who have never been Osoyoos is located about 4 and a half hours out of Vancouver, and it is to-die-for.

There is a gorgeous lake, vineyards everywhere, local fruit orchards, and a unique desert landscape. Osoyoos is definitely one of my top spots to visit in British Columbia.

Now it’s back in the city for a few days. Desperately need to clean my house + get unpacked from all this travel lately haha. Better late than never ?
